Comic Panel 1: Fluff Pup, a medium-sized brown puppy with fluffy ears, a pearl necklace and a golden crown on her head, and TeaCup Pup, a peach-colored teacup chihuahua wearing a gold and purple crown, are both working attentively on large lumps of modeling clay. TeaCup Pup is sitting directly on the table while working. Several sculpting tools and an open bucket of clay sit on the table as well. Comic Panel 2: A very ta-da feeling panel where Fluff Pup and TeaCup Pup look delightedly at their sculptured art. Fluff Pup has made a vase that appears somewhat inspired by art of ancient Greece with delicate triangular patterns at the top of the vase and a dignified dog standing in the middle. Meanwhile, TeaCup Pup has sculpted a dog with eyes closed majestically, head tilted up and long, flowing fur that covers the feet. Comic Panel 3: Fluff Pup and TeaCup Pup are staring confused and a little puzzled further down the table. It’s revealed Scruffy Pup, a large orange pup with a gold and purple crown, is laying on her back actively rolling back and forth on her modeling clay. She is having the time of her life with a happy expression and her tongue sticking out as lumps of clay stick to her fur.

A Princess Pups comic by Lindsay Hornsby called "Clay Day" Comic Panel 1: Fluff Pup, a medium-sized brown puppy with fluffy ears, a pearl necklace and a golden crown on her head, and TeaCup Pup, a peach-colored teacup chihuahua wearing a gold and purple crown, are both working attentively on large lumps of modeling clay. Clay Day

Sculpting with clay is so much fun and the Princess Pups love a good art project! They all seem to approach it a little differently though, as Scruffy Pup shows...

Egg-tastic Coloring Pages!

Easter is almost here! So, it makes perfect sense to…dress Corgi Pup as an Easter Egg? Of course, since it’s for one of this month’s coloring pages! Corgi Pup doesn’t have to worry though, she’s not the only one in costume: Pug Pup has found a bunny-riffic costume to go along with the theme!

Corgi Pup looks festive, even if she looks annoyed!

For this month’s other egg themed coloring page, I drew Scruffy Pup doing a daring balancing act. She’s got so many Easter Eggs on her head! Maybe it’s because she already filled two baskets? Either way, it’s very impressive to TeaCup Pup!

TeaCup Pup doesn’t know that there was a fifth egg being balanced…

For this month’s timelapse, take a peek at the costume goodness that went into drawing Pug Pup and Corgi Pup in their Easter outfits! Maybe you can spot where I decided they needed their ears to be poking out of the costumes?…Don’t forget to check out the Coloring Pages section for these and stacks more coloring pages!

Garden Goals for Coloring!

Winter has felt like it’s been too long where I live, with temperatures being cold and then a random day of spring-ish weather. Since the Princess Pups get the weather that I draw for them, this month’s coloring pages have our puppy friends enjoying nice, springlike outside weather in gardening environments!

The first coloring page has Pug Pup and Corgi Pup enjoying a swarm of butterflies that are fluttering around a giant shrub! Maybe one of them will land on Pug Pup or Corgi Pup?

Butterflies big and small are hovering around Pug Pup and Corgi Pup!

For the second coloring page, I wanted to have Fluff Pup working on some of her gardening by repotting some flowers. Scruffy Pup wants to help! But she’s not quite used to the process for transferring flowers, it seems…

Scruffy Pup doesn’t have as much experience gardening as Fluff Pup

For this month’s timelapse, you can see how much I nudged around Fluff Pup (and her head!) to make sure she fit on the page well with Scruffy Pup! Be sure to check the Coloring Pages section for these new coloring pages and stacks of others to color while enjoying nice spring weather!

Float into Valentine Coloring Pages!

I’m a fan of having the Princess Pups decked out for Valentines, sometimes in comics and sometimes as actual printable Valentines with cheesy phrases (go on, click that link and print some free Valentines!). While I don’t have more printable Valentines this year, I do have some printable coloring pages with fun heart-shaped goodness to them! First is TeaCup Pup visiting that Grumpy Goose (who made another appearance recently in the comic) to present him with a Valentine pretzel! The Grumpy Goose appears to have another emotion now because he’s blushing!

Can you turn down a Valentine made from a delightful soft-baked pretzel? I know I can’t.

This month’s second coloring page has Scruffy Pup and Corgi Pup enjoying some fun heart-shaped balloons! The balloons seem to be pretty sturdy and can carry the pups away, which Scruffy Pup doesn’t seem to mind. Corgi Pup might not have been expecting this though.

How did Corgi Pup end up wrapped up instead of holding balloons anyway?…

I did a lot of nudging and tweaking on this last page, which makes for an interesting timelapse that you can view below! (Always keep your balloons on a separate layer from any puppies, it just makes the drawing easier.) If you want more coloring pages, including past Valentine ones, remember to scoot over to the Coloring Pages section to snag ’em!

Cold Weather Coloring!

It’s January of a new year, dang! While I was saving some various art files on my computer the other day, I accidentally put ‘2024’ in the file name instead of ‘2025’. If you’re old enough to remember writing checks, I used to do it then too! Either way, besides being a new year it has also been wintery where I live. So this month’s coloring pages have a cold weather theme, one you can enjoy without being outside in the cold!

The first coloring page has Fluff Pup reaching for her crochet hook to make a cozy scarf for Corgi Pup! Corgi Pup is sitting with such contained delight at this long scarf that’s wrapping around her. Is Fluff Pup finished with it or is she going to crochet it to be even longer?…

Fluff Pup has made quite a long scarf, which makes Corgi Pup so happy!

This month’s second coloring page has the rest of the pups out ice skating! Well, sorta. TeaCup Pup is having trouble keeping her balance on her ice skates. Scruffy Pup seems to be doing quite well gliding by on just her back legs while posing. Pug Pup is…eating ice cream in the background?!

TeaCup Pup isn’t sure how well her and ice skating will work out.

This month’s timelapse features Fluff Pup and Corgi Pup with that long crocheted scarf! I did some nudging to get the height I wanted between Corgi Pup and the tall stool that Fluff Pup sits on (see if you can spot it, it goes by fast!). Don’t forget to grab these coloring pages and stacks of others from the Coloring Pages section of the site!
